Volvo EX60 Electric SUV Teased a Year Ahead of Its 2026 Debut

The first glimpse of the upcoming Volvo EX60, an all-electric SUV, has been revealed, giving car enthusiasts something to look forward to well before its official unveiling in 2026. The initial photo of the electric crossover was showcased during the presentation of the Volvo ES90, as reported by Auto Express.

The teaser image highlights the rear of the vehicle, featuring sleek diode taillights and flared rear fenders. Chrome and glossy accents add a touch of sophistication to the design. Visually, the Volvo EX60 takes inspiration from its larger sibling, the Volvo EX90, with a sharp, angular aesthetic and the brand’s signature T-shaped headlights. To keep weight down, the EX60 will incorporate stamped aluminum components in its body structure, enhancing efficiency without compromising strength.

The EX60 will mark Volvo’s first model built on the new SPA3 platform, a cutting-edge foundation that supports advanced technologies. Among these is an innovative semi-autonomous driving system developed in collaboration with Nvidia and Luminar, promising a leap forward in driver assistance capabilities.

Under the hood-or rather, beneath the floor the EX60 will boast energy-efficient electric motors, delivering an impressive range exceeding 400 miles (640 kilometers). Its 800-volt architecture will enable ultra-fast charging at a minimum of 350 kW, making it a practical choice for long-distance travel and quick pit stops.

Set to launch in 2026, the Volvo EX60 will coexist alongside its gas-powered predecessor, the Volvo XC60, offering consumers a choice between electric and traditional powertrains. This move underscores Volvo’s commitment to electrification while maintaining flexibility in its lineup.

With its striking design, advanced tech, and eco-friendly performance, the Volvo EX60 is shaping up to be a strong contender in the growing electric SUV market. Stay tuned for more details as its debut draws closer!
